It ingests PDFs, Word and PowerPoint files, HTML, emails, images, and more, then extracts and normalizes the content — detecting titles, tables, lists, and figures — and chunks it intelligently while preserving layout and metadata. The platform handles OCR, table extraction, and connectors to common sources like S3, Google Drive, SharePoint, and Salesforce, plus destinations such as vector databases, so an entire document-to-embeddings workflow can run without bespoke parsing code. It is available as a hosted serverless API and platform as well as a widely used open-source library, giving teams flexibility between managed scale and self-hosting.
